Pooja Hegde career started working as a model, and remained the second runner up of the Miss Universe India contest in the year 2010 and similar was her story in another contest called the Miss India Talented of the year 2009. After contesting these beauty pageants she headed to the world of acting by doing her debut in a Tamil based movie called Mugamoodi opposite Jiiva. In this movie, she played the character of a fun loving and care free type of a girl, who is seen motivating the male lead to change in his life. After doing her first Tamil based movie, she then headed to do her two Telugu movies called Oka Laila Kosam and Mukunda and soon this year she would be making her debut mark in the movie called Mohenjo Daro.
