Gracy Singh is a warm, passionate, simple and a graceful dancer, She is complete natural in front of the camera, Seeing her performance it seems that this popular television actress is looking forward to be a great actress in the coming uears of indian cinema.
Better known as Dinki in the popular serial Amaanat, Gracy Singh recently made her Bharatanatyam debut, recreating an old charm and she believes that she did well.
Slow and steady wins the race. That seems to be true of Gracy Singh, the unsung heroine of last year’s smash hit, Lagaan.
Nobody had given the petite Delhi girl a chance in hell to establish herself as a lead actress in an industry where glamour dolls rule the roost. She, they said, possesses neither the looks nor the aura to set the box office on fire.
Gracy did not help her cause by confessing in interview after candid interview that wasn’t really cut out for the starry grind. What scared her the most, she admitted, was the thought of being featured in the gossip columns of filmi rags. Mercifully, the damage hasn’t been permanent. It is now amply clear that Gracy won’t be a one-film wonder.
Close on the heels of the news that she has been signed up by Shyam Benegal to play a pivotal role in his next film, it has been reported that Gracy has finally been offered not one, but two mainstream Hindi films. One of them, a Ripples Entertainment film to be directed by Satish Kaushik, will feature Anil Kapoor opposite her, while the other film on her plate at the moment is a Pahlaj Nihalani production.
Welcome to the rigmarole, Gracy! An all-out crack at it won’t do you any harm.
