Sagarika Ghatge’s acquirement on the hockey field saw her enter films with Chak De India. She was born on 8th Jan 1986 in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India. Her father is Vijay Ghatge, who has produced the films Shobhayatra and Ganuraya. She studied at the Chatrapathi Shahu School and Mayo College in Ajmer, Rajasthan.

She set down the role of Preethi in Chak De India (2007) which asterisked Shah Rukh Khan as a hockey coach. With her athletic make and a go-getter posture she got a peck with the sports brand Reebok to map them. After finishing a course of study at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute, Ghatge straightaway has two films up for release Raftaar 24z7 (2009) with Emraan Hashmi and Deepak Tijori’s Fox (2009) with Arjun Rampal.
