Atul Agnihotri was born on 24 June 1970 in Mumbai into a Hindu Brahmin family. He got married to bollywood fashion designer Alvira Khan who is daughter of scriptwriter Salim Khan. The couple have two kids son Ayaan Agnihotri and daughter Alizeh Agnihotri. His brother-in-laws are Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan. His cousin is actress Rati Agnihotri.
Atul Agnihotri started his Bollywood career as an actor but found success as an producer. He debuted his acting career as a child artist in the movie Pasand Apni Apni. He started his film career as an adult in 1993 with the movie Sir directed by Mahesh Bhatt. He directed films like Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa and Hello. In 2011 he produced Bollywood blockbuster Bodyguard.
